María Passas Varo
Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Seville, Master of Science in Physics for Technology from the University of Cantabria, and Ph.D. in Physics and Space Sciences from the University of Granada.
I have been working as a Research Engineer at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia in Granada since 2010, focusing on atmospheric plasma spectroscopy until September 2023. My work primarily involved instrument calibration, and data reduction and analysis of atmospheric transient plasmas within the Atmospheric Electricity group.
Currently, I am designing a new instrument within the Cosmic Dust group to analyze the physical properties of dust particle surfaces, such as those found on Mars, the Moon, or in the coma of some asteroids.
